Girls Rule the Roost!

Spring has been a busy season for the Murchison population of Carnaby’s Cockatoos, with the NACC NRM Biodiversity team completing another trip to the area and successfully banding four female birds and one male!
Feral Rabbits: Small Pest, Big Impact

As we swing into summer, it’s a great time for farmers and landholders to plan and implement rabbit control activities for the year. Local biosecurity groups are taking EOIs now for anyone wanting 1080 bait for mixing to help control rabbit populations (see below for details) – so it’s worth carving out some time from your harvest schedule if possible!

NACC NRM recently welcomed local university student, Jasmyn, who joined us for her practical placement! Jasmyn is studying a Bachelor of Education, with a focus on biology and sport, through Central Queensland University at the Geraldton Universities Centre.
