The Australian Government Department of Environment is calling for articles for the February 2016 (World Wetlands Day) edition of Wetlands Australia which will be published online at the Department of the Environment website.
The publication will draw attention to achievements and challenges for the conservation and wise use of Australian wetlands (noting that wetlands include waterways, estuaries and coasts). Your article will help highlight the contribution of your group or organisation to wetland conservation, management and education.
The 28th edition of Wetlands Australia will focus on the theme ‘Wetlands support sustainable livelihoods’, to align with the 2016 World Wetlands Day (2 February) theme. We are looking for articles that support this theme, and for articles on current wetland projects, programs and achievements. Please feel free to send this invitation to others who may be interested in contributing to the publication.
Articles should be kept short (200 to 400 words maximum) and accompanied by 1 or 2 photos. Links to websites with further detail can be included. More information on the theme, as well as the article selection process, consent forms and other requirements is attached.
Please notify the Department of the Environment by COB Friday 9 October 2015 if you are interested in contributing to the next edition of Wetlands Australia, by emailing email@example.com. Please include in your email your organisation name (if applicable), location and a brief summary of the topic you will be writing about.
Completed articles must be submitted by COB Friday 16 October 2015. The magazine will be published online in February 2016 for World Wetlands Day.
