Community groups across the Northern Agricultural Region prove they are continuing to ”walk the walk and talk the talk” when it comes to collaboration to advance sustainable agriculture in the Northern Agricultural region.
The groups – all members of the Northern Agricultural Region Sustainable Agriculture Network (NARSAN) met recently in Perenjori to further progress their collective action.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss local Sustainable Ag and conservation issues; and to identify potential opportunity for joint projects and activities to advance sustainable agriculture in the region.
NARSAN is a network of local community agriculture and landcare groups with a shared vision of resilient and sustainable agricultural systems for current and future generations.
A key highlight at the meeting was the well-received presentation by Dave Clare of ATC Midwest who presented on practical ways to attract and engage members to not-for-profit organisations and volunteer groups.
NACC was represented by Board directors Bev Logue and Yvonne Marsden, and Regional Landcare Facilitator Stanley Yokwe.
