State NRM Grants Announced

This week NACC NRM was very excited to see the formal announcement of the 2020 State NRM Community Stewardship Grants round.

The program has two main components – small grants valued between $1,000 and $35,000 and large grants for strategic projects valued between $35,001 and $450,000.

These grants provide a great opportunity for a range of groups across the state to undertake activities around natural resource management (NRM) and in our region we hope groups will consider projects which deliver against community endorsed NRM aspirations articulated in NARvis (www.NARvis.com.au).

In these unprecedented times, NACC NRM is extremely grateful to the Western Australian Government for not only continuing with the state NRM program funding, but this year making it bigger and better by increasing the pool of funding. Specifically, an extra $1.5m which NACC NRM can apply to, for the purpose of supporting landcare and NRM organisations across our region, to be more resilient and to continue innovating for the benefit of WA’s vast network of natural assets.

The team at NACC NRM are already getting project applications underway and we encourage you to get in touch if you would like to discuss your project idea with us.

Good luck and happy writing!
