The Gravity Discovery Centre (GDC) is an exciting science education centre one hour north of Perth where the community can experience hands-on science exhibits and learn about the latest discoveries in science and technology.

Situated in the pristine Wallingup Plains, biodiversity is an important aspect of the GDC, which complements the major focus on physics and astronomy. It is also a cultural centre – with strong links to the Nyoongar people.

A major component of the GDC is the Gingin Observatory which boasts a fully retractable roof, state-of-the-art telescopes, and our amazing WA dark night sky, offering visitors a world-class astronomy experience.

The Observatory, is situated at Yeal, between Yanchep National Park and the township of Gingin. Twelve kilometres off Indian Ocean Drive (Wanneroo Road) and 25 kilometres from Brand Highway (near the Gingin turnoff), the Gingin Observatory is approximately an hour and a half drive from Perth, providing locals with close access to having a truly unique experience.
