The Northern Agricultural Catchments Council (NACC) is pleased to announce two newly elected board directors for the next term.
Board elections were conducted during August and September, and NACC would like to thank all candidates and members for taking part in the 2017 election process.
As a result, two new board directors were elected:
- Mrs Susanne Levett
Mrs Levett manages a mixed farming enterprise and has more than 10 years’ experience in the agricultural field. Mrs Levett also brings to NACC her accounting experience and a Bachelor of Business qualifications. She is passionate about the environment and wishes to farm in a sustainable manner into the future.
- Dr Indre Asmussen
Dr Asmussen has a strong background in ecology, natural resource management, community engagement and working with industry to develop workable environmental solutions. After completing a PhD focused on seabirds at the Abrolhos Islands, Dr Asmussen worked as an environmental consultant in the north-west of WA and in the eastern states. She now teaches Conservation and Land Management at Central Regional TAFE with a strong NRM focus.
NACC would like to congratulate both of our new board directors on their election and welcome them to the organisation.
Two of our current directors will be leaving the Board at this time: Yvonne Marsden who has been a long-standing director and served NACC diligently for 20 years, and Bev Logue, who served a two-year term on the Board and took on the role of Treasurer for the past year.
With Susanne and Indre taking-up their roles from the time of this week’s AGM, the new-look Board for 2017-18 comprises: Rob Keogh (Chair), Kent Broad (Deputy Chair), Miriam Stanborough, Dean Revell, Susanne Levett and Indre Asmussen.
