Are you a girl or buoy trying to navigate the single life? Maybe you are looking to turn the tide on the seas of love?
If you are fishing for something different to do this Valentine’s Day (or something else puntastic altogether), then we have just what you need.
The Batavia Coastcare Network (BCN), with support from NACC, Intrepid Landcare, and the WA Landcare Network, is hosting a Love Your Beach event on 14 February at Pages Beach.
This event will see single men and women, under 35, come together for a fun-filled and fulfilling sunset beach clean-up amongst the dunes.
Once the beach has been returned to its pristine state, the group will head to Pollinators in the ‘West End’ of Geraldton where they will get the chance to unwind and relax with the help of some friends from the Comedy Emporium.
BCN secretary and NACC Coastal and Marine Project Officer Vanessa McGuiness – the driving force behind the Love Your Beach event – said she was thoroughly looking forward to the evening.
“This is a chance for single beach-lovers to come together and share their interests,” she said.
“We thought this would be a great way for people of all walks of life to come out for some fun and entertainment while giving back to our beach this Valentine’s Day”
“There is no pressure – just come on down and say hi while doing your bit for the environment.”
RSVPs are essential to this event for catering purposes, so anyone who is keen to attend, are asked to please contact Vanessa McGuiness at email@example.com or 0448 147 263.
The event starts at 6pm at Pages beach.
