Do you have the passion, skills and time to help Australia’s iconic volunteer Landcare community build a sustainable and productive future?
Landcare Australia is seeking to appoint a new non-executive director to its Board, to replace a long-standing member who has retired last December.
Landcare Australia, and the broader Landcare community it serves, celebrated 25 years of achievement together last year.
Over that period Landcare Australia has built a strong reputation as the national not-for-profit organisation dedicated to promoting the growth of Landcare, a community of over 6,000 volunteer groups.
The Board of Landcare Australia is skills-based, reflecting the unique marriage of interests across primary industries and environmental groups that gave rise to the birth of Landcare, together with areas of expertise required by Landcare Australia to deliver on its mission.
According to the Chairman of Landcare Australia, Campbell Anderson, “we are looking to appoint a director with strong financial, audit and risk assessment acumen and ideally with a strong interest in Landcare or environmental matters more generally and/or regional community leadership.”
“Whilst Landcare Australia is not a representative body it is supported by a Landcare Strategy Forum comprising members with strong links to the Landcare community and regional knowledge.”
