Need a helping hand to manage your block in a more sustainable way?
Well, if you’re looking for a sign, this is it!
Small landholders – especially those who live near Gingin – will have a fantastic opportunity to learn more about managing small blocks on Saturday, 24 June, when well-known “sustainability personality” Chris Ferreira of the Forever Project, will host a workshop in partnership with NACC, at Gingin’s Bendigo complex.
Chris Ferreira has emerged as a leader in sustainable gardening, landcare, small-block development, and energy efficient home design, and is a font of knowledge on all of these and more. He leads the Forever Project team which aims to empower the community to live more sustainably. This includes the high profile and award-winning Heavenly Hectares project, which is squarely aimed at rural and semi-rural small-block landholders.
Landholders will have the opportunity to learn and expand their knowledge on sustainable management practices for productive small landholdings. Kicking-off at 2pm, the workshop will provide a great opportunity for landholders wanting sustainable and productive properties using a minimum of water and nutrients.
This is a free event, however RSVP is essential. Please register your attendance by 22 June.
