The Northern Agricultural Catchments Council (NACC) is excited to announce that the updated regional aspirations and goals for the Northern Agricultural Region (NAR) are now live on the NARvis website!
These aspirations and goals form the basis of the Natural Resource Management (NRM) Strategy for the NAR.
The strategy can be adapted to suit changing priorities, improved information, or changing conditions.
NACC is currently working to prioritise and implement the feedback provided by the community, so stay tuned for key updates!
The next step in the process is to measure how the regional community is working towards achieving these goals.
NACC recognises that there are many agencies, industry and grower groups, community groups, individuals and others who are undertaking activities that work towards achieving the goals, and we would love to hear from you!
If you would like your project to be recorded towards these goals you can Share Your Project on the online map, or contact us to find out how your project can be featured as a case study on the NARvis website.
NACC thanks the large number of community members who have been involved in guiding this process, either by attending one of the many workshops held over the past three years, submitting comments online, or completing surveys.
By sharing your vision for the region, you have helped ensure that these aspirations, goals and strategic actions are a true representation how the community would like the region to be now and in the future.
If you would like to provide input at any stage, you can leave a comment at the bottom of any page on the NARvis website, or contact NACC directly.
We look forward to sharing all the fantastic projects happening all across this amazing region we call home!
