Climate Change: Everyone’s Business

This September, an estimated 4 million people – 330,000 plus in Australia – from over 4,500 locations across every corner of the world assembled for an historic show of community support for climate action.

These gatherings, driven largely by young people across the globe and led by 16-year-old Swedish student and climate activist Greta Thunberg (see this month’s’ #PeopleOfNRM) have sought to demonstrate to decision makers everywhere that decisive global action on climate change, is a priority issue for the community.

And here at NACC NRM we support everyone in our organisation who chooses to join the global climate change movement.

But what about every other day?  What does NACC NRM do? Our responsibility doesn’t stop there……….

Beyond expressing our commitment to addressing the global issue of climate change, we would like to take this opportunity to share our Call to Action, outlining some changes that we have been making to reduce our impact and some of our ‘business as usual’ activities. Hopefully this will help you identify areas where you can make changes as well.

We don’t profess to be perfect in our efforts to reduce our climate change impact and we don’t expect perfection, we also know that making changes can be challenging. But every time and every day that you make a positive change or make a conscious choice which reduces your impact, you are contributing to a better future.

If you have suggestions to help NACC NRM do more to reduce our climate impact or would like to provide support for these changes, please get in touch with us via

Kind regards
