NACC NRM is on the lookout for two Directors to join the Board. Applications to join the NACC NRM Board opened last week, providing a unique opportunity to contribute strategically to a healthy and resilient Northern Agricultural Region (NAR).
Directors play a pivotal role in guiding NACC NRM as an organisation, setting the strategic direction for the organisation, which helps to ensure a prosperous future for the NAR. The ideal candidates for these positions will have a passion for natural resource management, and for the Northern Agricultural Region and its community.
Diversity is an important and valued part of our organisation, and we aspire for our Board to represent the diverse community of the NAR. We encourage applications from people of all abilities and cultural backgrounds.
Through NACC NRM’s four core programs; Aboriginal Custodianship, Biodiversity, Coastal & Marine, and Sustainable Agriculture, the NACC NRM team engages with stakeholders throughout the community to work towards a sustainable future.
NACC NRM’s constitution outlines a broad range of skills, which NACC NRM seeks to ensure are always part of our Board. In addition, to support the effective delivery of our strategic plan, the NACC NRM Board is also currently seeking candidates with specific skills or knowledge in the areas of:
- Business management;
- Activation of innovative funding models for not-for-profits;
- Community engagement;
- Traditional ecological knowledge or;
- Marketing and public relations.
Candidate applications close 5pm (AWST) Monday 14 August 2023, and an election will take place to confirm the successful candidates. The election will open 9am (AWST) Wednesday 27 September and close 5pm (AWST) Tuesday 10 October 2023, with election results available to the public by Tuesday 17 October 2023, when they will be posted on NACC NRM’s website.
NACC NRM’s Annual General Meeting will take place on Thursday 26 October 2023, where members, stakeholders and community members have the opportunity to attend and welcome our two new Board Directors.
