Regional Landcare Facilitator for the Northern Agricultural Region
Auspiced through the Australian Government’s Caring for our Country initiative, NACC hosts the Regional Landcare Facilitator for the Northern Agricultural Region. This whole-of-region resource is to broadly increase the capacity and uptake of sustainable farm and land management practices including natural resource management by farmers and communities. Importantly it promotes opportunities for networking and information sharing between groups, government agencies, agribusiness, schools and research bodies through workshops, bus tours, field days, case studies, media articles and regular newsletters. Also the role is to disseminate details of the Australian Government initiatives, news and events on the challenges of food security, climate change and the protection of biodiversity.
