It's that time of year again!
Have you put in your seedling orders for 2012?
Contact your local native plant nursery soon to avoid disappointment.
NAR NRM
Northern Agricultural Region (NAR) Natural Resource Management (NRM)
The NAR is a region of some 7.5 million hectares; more than 70 per cent is privately owned; the rest is managed by State or local government
The region is home to around 100,000 people. There are around 3,500 properties (over 100ha) and some 2,500 land managers (mostly farmers).
The Sub-regions
There are four sub-regions: Moore, West Midlands, Greenough and Yarra Yarra. Each is delineated to a series of catchments, which together make up the NAR.
Each sub-region has its own board, membership and program. The objectives for each are decided on locally in consultation with the membership.
NACC supports the sub-regions through funding for Natural Resource Management Officers (NRMOs) and by helping to facilitate skills and engagement.
